NPS Historian Emeritus Brings Tour to MSBA

Ed Bearss, who served as the Chief Historian for the National Park Service from 1981 to 1994 and is now their Historian Emeritus , is currently leading a large nationwide tour of historical sites.  Several of those sites are in the state of Kentucky.  On June 8th, Mr. Bearss brought his tour to the Mill Springs Battlefield.  The MSBA staff was very pleased to meet this well-known historian and author who has received numerous awards in the field of history and preservation.

Mr. Bearss appears here with our own Hannah Grant, who has been our receptionist/docent at the MSBA Museum for five summers. Ms. Grant is a full-time student of History at the University of Kentucky and has developed our Facebook and Twitter applications this summer.
